Musket Corporation Opens DEF Facility in Greensboro, North Carolina
OKLAHOMA CITY, June 28, 2018 - Musket Corporation, the trading and logistics arm of the Love's Family of Companies, recently opened a diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) wholesale bulk rack in Greensboro, North Carolina, at 142 Montlieu Avenue. The facility is the company's first DEF location in North Carolina and its 14th overall.
"Greensboro is an ideal location for our newest DEF facility because of its proximity to busy interstates and highways, and major cities like Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte," said Brian Hoover, manager of DEF for Musket. "The Greensboro terminal will provide reliable access to DEF to wholesale fuel Customers and several existing and future Love's Travel Stops in the region."
DEF is a NOx abatement fluid that converts harmful emissions from diesel engines to nitrogen and water. Widespread use of DEF began in response to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Clean Air Act. Diesel engine manufacturers have relied on selective catalytic reduction technology (SCR) since 2010 to reduce nitrous oxide emissions from exhaust gases.
Musket's network of DEF terminals spans 11 states. All facilities are located close to Love's Travel Stops to easily provide 24/7 access to DEF and they produce the highest quality product, meeting ISO 22241 standards.
